We recently spent the day at Kimmeridge Bay, on the English Channel coast in Dorset. We were there to shoot our waterproof sock campaign, putting them through the paces along the Jurassic Coast.

The glass box test attracted a lot of attention from passers-by. In a time when brands are using more and more AI, we definitely prefer getting out in the open.

A Sealskinz day in the outdoors, made even better by the discovery of a fossil!

The Test

We set up a perspex box in several locations along the coast, submerging different waterproof socks in the water. The focus was on Aquasealz™ technology, keeping feet completely dry in wet conditions.
Surlingham

A lightweight waterproof sock for all weather types and activities. Premium merino wool for comfort and wicking away moisture. Naturally antimicrobial, stopping growth of odour-causing bacteria. Waterproof socks for outdoors activities.
Stanfield

Our cold weather option, offering thermal and waterproof protection in an insulated sock. A merino wool interior is soft and insulative, keeping feet warm and dry. Ideal for outdoors pursuits in cold, wet weather. Think winter trekking, cold days on building sites and mountain biking in winter.
Holverstone

Our new lightweight waterproof running socks, deigned to keep your feet dry in all conditions. Aquasealz™ technology combines complete waterproofness with breathability, letting excess heat and perspiration escape on your run. The ultimate socks for running in tough conditions – trail running, cross country running etc.
Kimberley

We also shot our non-waterproof hiking socks, made in a sustainable bamboo blend. Soft to the touch and highly breathable, keeping feet aerated on your hike.
Bamboo can be harvested without harming the actual plant itself, making it an eco-conscious choice. Made for hiking, but also a great everyday active sock.
As expected, Aquasealz™ technology was up to the test, keeping feet dry while fully submerged in water. After 20-plus years of developing waterproof and breathable technologies, our original mantra—that adventurers should be able to stay outdoors longer—continues to drive us forward. A great shoot at a beautiful location.
